我们将要去的五龙山为省级风景名胜区，据丹东市中心20公里。原名顶旗山(丁岐山、丁溪山)蒙语为“他本套勒孜”，意思是五条龙分别卧在山上。自元朝开始，就已称其为五龙山。五龙山主峰海拔708.5米。景区面积56.52平方公里。
五龙山属于长白山系余脉，全长20公里，主峰顶歧山海拔708.5米，在丘陵起伏的辽东半岛显得格外巍峨挺拔，五龙山共有90多个山峰，山中林木葱郁秀美，峰壁耸立，清溪潺潺，鸟语花香，其沟壑峡谷鳞次栉比;其巨石悬崖之怪异，其庙宇古迹之灵气都是风格迥异，自成一派，恰似一副饱含浓墨的水墨丹青。日伪时期，五龙山就以其雄、险、奇、幽、美而被列为“国立公园”。
多少年来，纯朴的民风蕴育了五龙山神奇的民间故事，灵峰寺、佛爷洞更是闻名遐尔。珍存至今的众多人文古迹和多元的宗教文化则表明，五龙山是东北地区佛教文化和图腾文化的发祥地之一。
五龙山自古就是战略要塞。自秦汉至今，战事不断，屡屡成为两军厮杀的疆场，元朝，九连城经五龙山麓至盖州是西行入关的咽喉要道;明朝的两次拓边，在五龙山北、东、南设城堡;清潮为保护“龙兴重地”而修筑的柳条边，也路经五龙山北部。
五龙山与辽东名山凤凰山同期形成于两亿年前的燕造山运动。五龙山呈南北走向，北望高峻的凤凰山，形成龙凤衔接之势;南顾拔地而起的金山，又有巨龙摇首之姿，其连绵起伏的山峰成为丹东北部的一道天然屏障。
自然资源：五龙山的气候与丹东同属于暖温带季风性气候。年平均气温在9—11度，降水充足。“冬无严寒，夏无酷暑”是整个丹东及周边地区的气候特点。因此适宜多种动植物生长。有过渡带特有的东獐耳细辛、淫羊霍、牡丹草等;及黄菠萝、天女木兰、辽细辛等多种国家级保护植物;狗獾，小飞鼠、中国林蛙等为国家级保护动物。五龙山温泉，自古就有“神水”之称，唐太宗亲征高句丽时已久负盛名，至今已1300多年历史，境内泉涌溪湍，山下大小河流纵横，温泉分布多处，四季喷涌，是著名的温泉疗养胜地。其水质细腻如脂，淡绿似玉，温度在4.2-78度之间，略带点硫磺味道，成弱碱性，含重碳酸盐及钾、镁、钙、钛等40多种矿物质和少量放射性元素。对关节炎，神经痛、风湿病、皮肤病有显著疗效，并载入《中国名词词典》。公元651年左右，就有人在温泉中野浴浣洗。日伪时期，与鞍山汤岗子、辽南熊岳城温泉誉为满洲三温泉。解放后，东北军区在此修建了中国人民解放军240医院，辽宁荣军疗养院，丹东温泉宾馆，天池宾馆。朱德、叶剑英、聂荣臻等国家领导人曾来此视察过。现在，温泉资源被广泛开发，每年来此洗浴、疗养的全国游客有十几万人次。
现在，五龙山的地理位置更加优越。该景区距丹东市区仅14公里;距机场28公里;距东港港口50公里;沈丹高速公路、201国道自景区山麓通过;沈丹铁路老古沟、五龙背两车站距离景区不到3公里，交通十分方便。
早在民国时期，五龙山以其独特的风景资源和优越的地理位置被誉为“安东八景之一”。日伪统治者曾对其进行过规划，定名为“国立公园”。8月，景区从当地村民手中购得当年的这张规划导游图，图上标有四十处景点。据专家考证，大多景点名字都围绕佛教文化命名的，如双龙淹、梵天峰、外万象、龙泉洞等。现存的几处摩崖石刻，月亮石、礼拜石、念佛石就是那时留下的。94年市政府把五龙山列为市级风景名胜区进行管理，并设管理处，升格为省级风景名胜区。
197月，李世企业集团获得对五龙山五十年的经营开发权，仅仅用了二十个月的时间，投资1.6亿元，进行基础设施和景点建设，一改昔日荒凉。我们现在所处的位置，为休闲娱乐区。主要建筑有售票处，两栋麒麟形建筑，员工宿舍楼，五龙湖、山门等。山门由多块石雕组成。门高17.9米，宽27.9米，是辽东第一山门。仅前脸龙头重4吨，整个山门是100多名能工巧匠用10个月时间雕出来的，耗资400万元。五龙山三个大字是时任丹东市市长陈明月书写的，靠广场一面“直上青云”四个字是集团董事长李军先生写的。大门两侧的二层建筑，共3000多平方米，属于商贸区，大部分是外来业户租赁经营的，这个广场面积13000平方米，周围是日式建筑风格的溪流。这四栋依山就势而建的五层建筑是集团设计院根据董事长的意图设计的。秋月洗浴宫比喻此宫明洁亮丽，同乐演艺厅比喻客人在此同欢同乐共度美好时光。旭日娱乐城喻意客人在这里练就体魄如旭日东升。春晖服务中心是接待客人，为旅游者服务的商务中心。从这四栋建筑的名称中各取一字，可组成一句成语“日月同晖”，其喻意祝来过五龙山的每一位朋友都能够健康长寿。
东侧山坡上的三层建筑五龙宾馆为景区的会议中心，内设客房29间，床位60张，大、中、小会议室四个，能容纳100人就餐的餐厅一个。欢迎各位朋友到这里举办各种集会。五龙宾馆取五龙山域名，使人容易记忆。这里是十二生肖秋林浴园，春、夏、秋三季这里是游人休息、乘凉、娱乐的理想场所，常常座无虚席。这里的十二生肖位置，东西南北四个进出口都是按八卦设计的，设计者在周长、半径、各生肖之间的联系距离等数字上着实下了番功夫，这里共有26张桌子，168个座位。
这个亭叫怀德亭，是集团领导为五龙山建设做出贡献的各界朋友表示感谢设计建造的，碑上记录了建设五龙山的经过，以及部分有功的建设者和各界朋友的名字。
这十四栋欧式建筑的别墅造型各异，错落有致。内部设有标准房4间、5间、6间不等。这十四栋别墅分别有一个传统文化的名字，从每一栋别墅中取一个字可组成一句话，我暂不宣布，也让大家用心琢磨一下。
从山角下到灵峰单寺,有两条路，一条是柏油路，小型汽车可以一至开到大庙的平台上;一条是林荫道，我们也称它为“情人路”，这些用混凝土圆块铺的路，一直铺到佛爷洞，长两公里。春夏两季，森林郁闭之后，游客在里面行走，既免受日晒子苦，又能领略到森林浴之乐。
大家还记得五、六十年代的小学语文教科书上有一课叫《五龙山下捉飞贼》故事就发生在这里。1953年1月12日晚，侵朝美军第十三航空队的一架b—29型侦察机侵入丹东上空，被我防空部队击落，飞机坠落在山后，机上14名美国士兵先后跳伞，就降落在这个区域。三人摔死，以上校情报联络官阿诺德为首的十一人被活捉。民兵队长王吉生，民兵蔡喜厚作为捉飞贼英雄参加了1956年全国民兵英模大会，受到毛主席、周总理的接见，毛主席亲自奖给王吉生一支手枪。这段业绩北京军事博物馆和丹东抗美援朝纪念馆都有实物陈列和文字说明。
这处景点就是著名的月亮石。据《安东县志》记载是1940年刻的，圆里镶的图案是印度佛教文字，即梵文。有关专家依据《佛教画藏》认为图名为“日月之光”;也有人说是中国历史上最短的词牌14字令等。专家认为与这处景观相对应的，景区上端似乎还应有一个“太阳石”是否也糟厄运，被泥石流冲走或深埋，还不得而知。至于这块“礼拜石”也是那个年代刻的，当时是__徒作礼拜的场所，与“月亮石”不是一个景点。
九天宾馆是景区内档次较高的宾馆。为何将此宾馆命名为九天，还要和五龙宾馆联系起来说，五龙是数词和名词的组合，为了寻求两处宾馆在命名上的一致，也应选择一个数词和名词组合的名，所以叫九天宾馆。另一层意思是来自九天揽月之说，站在宾馆上可俯瞰到月亮石。九天宾馆有80张床位，40间客房。
再往上走，就是五龙山第二个景区——佛事活动区：灵峰禅寺。据考证此庙始建于15，几次重建，香火较盛，规模较小。3月，李世集团经省政府批准重建的这个庙宇占地4万平方米，建筑面积一万平方米。五重大殿，从前至后分别为山门殿、天王殿、大雄宝殿、大悲殿、藏经阁。这座寺庙是北方单体建筑最大的庙，现在我陪同诸位朋友到里面转一下。

名山名刹必有名僧。灵峰寺主持——上戒下全老和尚今年82岁。16岁出家，从师多名高僧，1944年在天宁寺佛学院读书五年。此后是全国南北十几座寺庙的住持、首座和座元。江西宜春市佛教协会会长。他弟子众多，知识渊博，在佛教界享有盛誉，每年去全国各地以及韩国、台湾、香港、东南亚各国和地区开堂传戒。
下一处景点就是闻名遐迩的神泉、圣水井和佛爷洞。
神泉：灵峰寺施工如火如荼，已连续多少天没有下雨，山上施工人员吃水都要从山下拉。这天工人为大雄宝殿奠基口渴难忍，正在诉说吃水难，突然从石缝喷出一股清泉。工人们惊叫，不敢相信自己的眼睛，纷纷用双手捧住泉水，一饮而尽，清凉甘甜，沁人心腑。从此，泉水汩汩而流，满足了上百名工人吃水和施工需要。工人们称为神水。据化验，这是优质矿泉水。
圣水井：这处水井从被人民发现得用至今，已有200多年历史，据当地百姓说，此井大旱之岁不涸，数九寒天不冻，多雨季节不盈。传说数万之众饮之不竭，百姓讨药于佛爷洞，用此水药，可祛病免灾，延年益寿。
佛爷洞：又名老古洞，据《安东县志》记载“山之阳有石穴，俗名老古洞，深遂莫测，洞内供石像一，亢旱之岁，土人辄祷雨于此”清光绪丁酉年正逢春旱，当地士绅王恒泰带百姓200余众到佛爷洞求雨，做完祭祀还没到家，大雨从天而降，为感神之保佑，便刻碑纪念。此碑被破坏，94年风景区管理处成立时从山下乱石堆中将大部碎块捡回，修补成现在这个样子。佛爷洞有150多年的历史，也留下很多传说，我把其中几个讲给大家听听。
解放初期，现在的五龙背镇新康四队有一村民，把洞里的石佛搬到圣水井，把佛的头部伸在井水里，让佛喝水，回去之后，过了不长时间便得了种怪病，不吃饭光喝水，开始喝的量比较少，一个月之后每次能喝一桶。当时在佛爷洞上有一棵榆树，直径达30厘米，三年自然灾害期间，农村人把这种树皮扒下来晒干碾成粉当粮吃，也是一个新康村人把这棵树树皮扒了，不长时间也得了一种病，全身腐烂，先从腿开始，之后遍及全身而死。
晴天下兩。93年10月5日，上午9点18分，原管理处在佛爷洞前举行重修典礼，当时天空万里无云，突然有人喊了一“怎么下雨了”，许多人不信，最后通过现场一块遮盖建筑材料的油毡得到证实，确实下雨了。94年10月18日，时任丹东市市长刘廷跃带领市、区两级政府球部视察五龙山，走到佛爷洞时也遇到晴天下雨的现象。在场的人无不感到神奇，刘市长为此做了一首诗：登五龙山感“圣水甘露润心田，攀登何慎上青天，美景如画看不尽，凤舞龙飞天地间。”
喝过圣泉水，您也该选择一下登山的路线了。由此向右攀缘，巨石林立，您会以为自己到了桂林的石林，但它可比桂林石林小巧玲珑的多。由石林拾级而上，可以看见一块岩石酷似弥勒佛，憨厚;一块巨岩形如观音，俏丽，两者相映成趣。挤过狭窄的夹扁石，您就可以登上山顶“一览众山小”了。您也可以沿圣泉井一直向上，在充满神秘气息的佛爷洞里烧香祈福后，继续上行，步步高，步步险，便到了宛如刀削斧劈的一线天。有金蟾望月踏石蹬，穿过曲折如锯的深狭窄谷，可见一洞，名曰升仙洞，爬过去您也是神仙了。即使走两侧陡壁高悬，令人望而生畏的鬼门关也不用害怕。您还可以从佛爷洞一路向左，到达袖珍仙山小蓬莱。其南侧一石形如小熊，仰头拜月，故名“小熊拜月”。徐行，耳中渐闻水声叮咚，一泓清泉喷涌飞溅，宛如“龙吐玉浆”。循溪向上，展现在我们面前的是具有风姿神韵的莲花峰。此峰秀里蕴奇，险中藏幽，颇值观赏。
登过一线天，站在顶峰。各位游客，那个方向是五龙背镇，五龙背温泉驰名中外，据史料记载，温泉发现于唐代，距今已有1300多年的历史。日俄战争后，日军在这里修建了浴池和旅馆，先后建有“五龙阁”、“保善馆”、“水明庄”、“聚乐馆”。是侵略者寻欢作乐的场所。五龙背温泉历经劫难，它将永远激励我们子孙万代不记忘国耻，振兴中华。丹东解放后，这里每年都接待大量国内外游客，朱德、叶剑英、聂荣臻、彭真、郭沫若等党和国家领导人都曾来此视察洗浴，柬埔塞国家元首诺罗敦，西哈努克亲王以朝鲜、日本、美国客人也曾慕名前来畅浴温泉。1948年12月4日，我国著名文学家、大诗人郭沫若到五龙背视察，心情十分舒畅，即兴赋诗一首，赞誉五龙背这个旅游疗养胜地，诗曰“烟筒林立望安东，畅浴温泉跨五龙，东北人民新血汗，化将地狱作天宫。”此诗现存放在五龙背镇解放军二四0医院内——“龙泉胜境”碑。
