有关人士认为，在翻译的过程中，仅仅掌握两种语言是无法成功进行翻译的，还需要掌握两种文化，因为词汇在不同文化背景下的意义不同。因此，商务英语的翻译需要理解文化差异。商务英语词汇还有一个特点就是词汇缩写。在国际商务活动中，由于商务活动十分频繁，为了尽快跟上商务活动的步骤，很多词汇都会进行缩写，涉猎范围非常广。此外，商务英语习惯运用形象化词和新词。例如soft-landing，按照普通英语的翻译习惯可译为重量级公司，而在商务英语中则是指在财政政策和货币政策的影响下，对高速增长的经济进行适当调整，使其恢复正常运作。

2.2 商务英语的语言特点

由于各国文化存在着较大的差异，对语言的理解也不同，这就极易引发误译和误解。部分词语有着不同的文化内涵，其汉语涵义与英语涵义也不一样，有些辞典对词语的翻译可能不准确，就无法正确表达与理解其真正涵义。例如，我们都知道的1972年（上海公报）中的acknowledge，中美双方对其就有不同的理解。中方理解成美方“承认”，而美方则理解成“熟知”，“知道”。此外，其他事件中也遇到过这种情况。这就与文化背景和词语的涵义有关。

再有，在某次商务活动中，德国商人与美国商人进行谈判时有这么一句话：“i know it is impossible，but can we do it ？”德国商人对impossible的理解是不可能的，而美国人的理解却不一样，这种理解差异与文化差异有着紧密的联系。据此可知，商务活动和商务文章中的词语运用较为灵活，要根据文化背景和上下文来翻译理解，否则就会出现误译和误解。

3.2 研究商务合同翻译策略

商务合同都是经过双方同意而签订的，与双方的利益有着莫大的关系，要特别重视其翻译，这就要求有商务合同的翻译策略。商务合同的翻译极为重要，要分清合同是属于什么类型的。在翻译前，要在知其梗概的基础上，了解合同种类和其基本意思，熟知篇章特点和合同的结构条款[2]。同时，要对条款进行认真研读。在大概了解原文内容后，要仔细、严谨地研读条款，理解词语的实际涵义，分清其句子结构，以便进行正确地翻译。此外，要对翻译进行有效组织。在完成上述工作后，选取相应的词语，准确、规范地翻译原文。当然，审译、漏译等工作也不容忽视。翻译后，要对译文的审译进行组织，以便能够及时地发现问题并解决，碰到漏译的情况，一定要及时地进行补充，不然的话，就会给双方造成巨大的损失。同时，合同中也有许多陷阱，需要引起高度的重视，以免自己的利益受损。

3.3 努力避免错误

在翻译商务英语的过程中，商务英语翻译工作者应具备扎实的专业知识和翻译的基本策略，还要养成良好的习惯，努力避免错误。就算是碰到一些常用的词或词组，只要碰到不懂的问题，就要翻查相关的辞典，千万不可望文生义，完全照搬。中国学生在翻译的过程中，经常会以汉语的理解思维来进行翻译，这样就极易出现误译或错译，从而导致信息传递梗塞，让人无法理解。通常情况下，此种错误有两类，一类是语法错误，还有一类是词汇错误，如the prices are cheap会误翻译为物价低廉，其实物价低廉正确的翻译是the prices are low.4 结语
